My Scentsy Story: Independent Scentsy Consultant Jes Russo
Like most women, I’ve always loved a great-smelling home. In fact, for years I was an independent candle maker and was pretty successful at it! The goal with my business at the time was to find the best ingredients, make the best scents and do my best to deliver a product that customers would love and that I would be proud of. But no matter how hard I tried, I was never fully satisfied with my creations.
Plus, I remember worrying about candle safety, sharing candy safety tips and hearing horror stories about home fires. Of course I attached one of those candle safety labels to the bottom of each candle I made, but I wondered if I could be held accountable for a fire or other potential problems caused by one of my candles. Everything from candle soot on the walls and wax burn to the candle smoke was a concern.
I gave up candlemaking in what was a completely over-saturated market. Frustrated, I wanted a product in my home that was clean, healthy, original, beautiful and — most importantly — safe for my family.
Flash forward to today! I am thrilled to tell you that I am now part of an AMAZING company that meets every one of my personal standards when it comes to home fragrances.
